Missing

James Hillis

This post is going to be one of my shorter ones since there isn’t very much information online about the case. Regardless of how much is available, I feel that everyone deserves a mention, even if I can’t give them a nicely paragraphed page of factual details. I will give what I can.

James P. Hillis, 35, was last seen when he left his home in Bearbranch, Ky (which is in Leslie County) on September 12, 1993, to go to work.

His truck was located approximately 130 miles away on September 15, 1993, in Knoxville, Tn. The keys were still in the ignition.

It’s believed he may have left the country.

That’s it. That’s all the information there is. I wonder why they think he may have left the country? Where did he work? Did he even make it to work that day? What kind of vehicle was he driving? Did LE check flight records?

So. Many. Questions.

No answers.

If you knew James, or think you may have something that may be a lead, please call the Kentucky State Police at 606-435-6069.
